Valerie (Spence) Hounsell SCA
Valerie is an award-winning Canadian painter who feels driven to document the ever-diminishing Canadian wilderness with her realistic interpretations of its landscapes. The thoughtful application of acrylics onto canvas with an attention to detail that reveals a fascination with the waterways and rock formations of the Canadian Shield. Her understanding of water transparency, reflections, movement, texture and colour variations are signature to her work.
Valerie has attained Elected Member status, from the Society of Canadian Artists. Her work can be found in personal collections across Canada, the United States and Europe.
