Art Submissions VAGA Gallery

VAGA Gallery only accepts artist submissions via email. We do not accept walk-in and social media submissions.

Before submitting a membership application, we encourage artists to do the following: 

• Visit the gallery to discuss the cost and participation requirements of a cooperatively–run gallery. 

• Visit the gallery, our website and social media to view the work of our artists in order to see if your work is a fit.

SUBMISSIONS to include the following:

·      “Artist Application” in the subject line of your email

·      Your Artist CV and Artist Statement as attachments in word doc format

·      4-6 images of your work, with medium, size and price; for example: mary_brown_title.jpg

·      Links to your professional social media and website.

Jurying is a 3-step process. 

1. All email submissions are viewed by the VAGA Jurying Committee. Artists whose work is accepted at step 1, will be contacted for step 2.
2. The committee requests an in-gallery artist interview and viewing of artwork before acceptance/non-acceptance.
3. Accepted artists pay membership and hanging fees and receive an orientation into their role as an artist-run gallery member.
